The Outstanding Catholic School Educator of the Month Award is given by the
Office of Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Madison in conjunction with
Relevant Radio AM 1240.
The award is given six times per school year during the months of November,
December, January, February, March and April. The award is given to a
Catholic school teacher or aide in the Diocese of Madison and recognizes
innovative those who increase student learning while using new and
innovative means of integrating Catholic teaching with the students’ study
of other academic subjects.
Annually, one teacher from among the recipients will be chosen as the
Catholic educator of the year, to be awarded in May. Awards are determined
by the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in consultation with the
Principals’ Association Board. All awards are broadcast by Relevant Radio
and recipients may be interviewed.
The Outstanding Catholic School Educator Award is sponsored by the Office of
Catholic Schools through the generosity of Relevant Radio, Catholic Knights
Insurance and Blest Art.
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be current teachers or instructional aids at one of the 46 Catholic schools
in the Diocese of Madison. Applicants may not be initial educators or in their first year of
employment in Catholic schools. Nominations may be made by parents, fellow teachers, school
staff or the school principal or pastor. Nominated teachers may be contacted to provide additional
information.
DEADLINES:
Applications are accepted only twice a year, once in fall and once in winter.
The following deadlines apply to all submissions.
